It’s so easy when they are ready, on learning to write.

My son is eleven and never “practices” his writing.
Yesterday he was writing out friend’s name with a backwards J.
I said “Your J is backwards, love.”
And that was all it took.
No stressful drills.
Up until thus point I have not corrected him because I knew he would get it when he was ready and I knew that it would be easy too.
I didn’t want to undermine his learning and experimenting with letters.
But we are ready now and the trust is there.
Just a simple comment and he was eager to correct it, a perfect J.
I love this life!
